Sleeping on your back is better for those who experience back pain. If you snore or have sleep apnea, being on your side prevents obstruction to your airway. Slightly elevating your body can keep stomach acids away from your esophagus to prevent heartburn and acid reflux.

Quality of Sleep

Lavender's scent has been studied and documented for its sleep aid qualities. A 2005 study found that inhaling its scent before bed resulted in deeper, better sleep, while a 2008 study found that women with insomnia found sleep more easily with the help of lavender.
